A decade ago, in 2015, world leaders gathered in Paris for a historic meeting. They created the Paris Agreement, a global plan to fight climate change. The main goal was to stop the world's temperature from rising too quickly.
Ten years have passed, and the world's energy sources have started to change. Because of the agreement, many countries invested in renewable energy. As a result, solar and wind power are now more common and affordable.
However, this progress has not solved the entire problem. Despite the growth in clean energy, global temperatures continue to rise, causing more extreme weather. This shows the enormous scale of the challenge we still face.
The Paris Agreement was a critical starting point, not a final solution. The next ten years will be even more important. The world must work faster and harder to prevent the worst effects of climate change.
