I really enjoy finding bird nests in trees. They are amazing little homes that birds build for their babies. Birds are clever; they use different materials to make their nests strong and safe.
I often see natural items like twigs, mud, and leaves in their constructions. But lately, I have started noticing something different. Many nests now contain trash.
I see bits of plastic bags, old cloth, or shiny wrappers woven into the nests. This sight brings a feeling of deep sadness. It makes me troubled to think about how much pollution is in our environment.
This trash is not good for the small birds or their eggs. It shows us that our world is not as clean as it should be. We need to be more careful about what we throw away to protect nature.
